Christine Flanigan - Hearing Aid Audiologist
Christine Flanigan completed her studies to become a (pre) Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser in January 2006 completing the required practical experience in June 2006 making her fully qualified to assess and test peoples hearing and prescribe appropriate hearing aids. Her current qualification of R.H.A.D – registered with the HAC (Hearing Aid Council) is due to transfer in April 2010 to the HPC (Health Professions Council) She is also a Member of British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists
She has worked in healthcare all her working life working in local hospitals and associations for the elderly and disabled. With her mother having a lifetime of hearing problems and working closely with people of all ages who had hearing difficulties she had great empathy for the hearing impaired and decided to re-train enabling her to help them achieve a better quality of life.
She recently resigned from her role as Bolton Centre Manager of a large national hearing aid dispensing company to become an Independent Hearing Aid Dispenser / Audiologist and concentrate on working closer with her clients to provide them with the personal service she believes is pivotal to successful hearing.
She sits on two professional panels assuring the high standards of hearing aid audiology are maintained and the public are fully protected.
Living in Bolton all her life she is regularly seen on the stage in many amateur operatic and dramatic productions. She is also actively seeking election to the local council at forthcoming election time.
Her only son now lives in New Zealand and is due to start his own family, she hopes to travel there as frequently as work will allow.
