Linsey Knowles (BSc Hons Physiotherapy, MCSP, SRP)

Linsey has 10 years post-graduate experience, since gaining her BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy.

She specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy which means she spends her working week assessing diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating clients following neck, back, joint and sport injuries.

Linsey has a special interest in manual therapy, mobilising and manipulating joints and soft tissues to provide pain relief, promote healing and reduce stiffness.

She is a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, which is an organisation open to doctors and physiotherapists on completion of a post graduate course specialising in the accurate diagnose and treatment of your problem.

She has also completed courses in advanced treatment techniques for the lower back, muscle and posture imbalances as well as a teaching qualification in Pilates.

In 2004 Linsey qualified gaining a Diploma as an Injection Therapist. This highly specialised technique uses corticosteriod drugs to aid healing, provide pain relief and decreases chronic inflammation, often when other treatments have failed.

Linsey also provides Acupuncture either to complement your physiotherapy treatment or as an isolated treatment to stimulate healing, decrease pain and gain relief from arthritis and nerve pain.

In 2002 she was Team Leader Physiotherapist in the Manchester Commonwealth Games, a great achievement and experience in sports injuries of some of the World's best Sportsmen and women.

She also spends time tutoring and teaching fellow physiotherapists in her specialist topic of Back Rehabilitation.

Finally, she is also a member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapist in Private Practice who only recognise fully qualified and Chartered Physiotherapists in Britain. She is registered with many insurance companies including BUPA.
